I totally needed this! Not only is this a 6 port USB hub, it is a rapid-charging 6 port USB hub. It is black and it is a cylindrical shape, it does not take up very much room. The power cord plugs into the wall. There is a rubber piece on the bottom of the hub so it stays still and doesn't slide around. I can plug it in and leave it in 1 spot. Nowadays everything seems to come with a USB cords and no wall adapters. That is why this is so great, I can plug in 6 things at a time. Even better, when I plug my devices like my phone in, they charge very quickly. I have so many devices in my house, cameras, gadgets, speakers and more. I could use a few of these desktop hubs. I am very happy with my 6 port hub and would recommend it. I received this item for free to try in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
