          I have very thick, wavy and long hair so I am very picky about what I use to brush my hair. I cannot get anything thru my wet hair except a hair pick. But when my hair is dry, hardly any brush can get thru my hair. It will brush the outer layer but underneath it gets very tangled. I hate brushes that have very rigid bristles, they hurt and they rip my hair. This detangling hair brush gets thru my dry hair and does a good job of getting those tangles out. It does not rip or tear and it is comfortable to grip and use. I like the bamboo handle a lot and I like the texture of the plastic bristles because they are comfortable when they brush my hair. The brush does have an odor but simply washing it will get rid of that. My brush was exactly as described. I am very happy with this brush because I have been looking for a new one to replace one that recently broke and for my hair type and my preferences I am very picky.
