This True Result Meter is fast and easy to use. It comes with a manual, carrying case, true test strips and 10 lancets. It comes with batteries already installed so it is ready to use right away. The meter has a date and time that can be set so I can go back and see my previous results. It has a nice big, easy to read digital display. The steps for using it are simple.
1. Press the S button or insert a strip to turn on the meter.
2. Insert a lancet into the lancing device and adjust it the level you want (the higher the number the deeper it will prick).
3. Insert a test strip into the meter.
4. With an alcohol pad, clean your finger or the area which you will be taking your blood from.
5. Prick your finger, squeeze out the blood and apply it to the very tip of the test strip.
Results displayed on the meter within a few seconds.
There is a cradle that can hook up to a computer to keep a log, you can see the contacts on the back of the meter. The test strips are easy to use. After the strip is installed with the small contacts face up, then pricking the finger and putting the strip at the blood, the blood will get sucked into the test strip instead of covering the tip with blood. There is a zippered carrying case that comes with it. I can keep everything inside of it, the meter, lancing device, lancet, test strips and I can even put some alcohol pads in it too. This set is an excellent deal. I have had a few spells where I have felt shaky and weak. Now when it happens I can test my blood sugar to see if it is low. I can leave it at home or take it anywhere, it is a small set. I am very satisfied with this set. I received this item at a discounted rate to try in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
