I like this Eyeclub Wi-Fi smoke detector camera for the most part. There is an app to download to use the camera. I used Android but I guess iPhones work too. The instructions for connecting it to the phone were not so good, I felt some of the information was missing. There are videos to watch to get properly connected. The smoke detector is not a real one, it just disguises the camera. There is a back piece that mounts onto the wall or ceiling. Inside the smoke detector is an on/off switch and the port for plugging in the power cord. The camera will last close to an hour when it is fully charged and unplugged, so for long term use it has to stay plugged in. The cord coming out of the smoke detector gives away that it is not really a smoke detector, so it would be necessary to hide the cord. There is a mini DV motion activated video recorder that uses a microSD card included along with mounting brackets and a power cord. Neither camera has night vision, they cannot see in the dark. Bright light makes a clearer picture. After you get the camera connected, this is a cool set.I received this item at a discounted rate to try in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
